Depression
This is maybe one of the worst, most
dangerous symptom of PCOS.
It makes perfect sense, if you stop and think
about it.
Women with PCOS are often experiencing
such depressing things such as hirstuism,
infertility, obesity, acne and a host of other disgusting symptoms
that would depress anyone. Dealing with just one of these things
can cause depression, dealing with them all together should
render us completely dysfunctional.
But we aren't dysfunctional. We persevere. We're women, that's
what we do.
Depression is nothing to be ashamed of (as are any of the
symptoms we have discussed). It is a medical ailment and it
should be treated as such. We women with PCOS have chemical
imbalances in our body and there are medicines to treat them.
So, if you feel that you are experiencing depression of any
magnitude, talk to your doctor immediately. Don't wait.
Depression is a symptom of this disease and it should be treated
like all the others.
Get support. Get help. Get better.
