Who we are...
Some sites are all about the medical jargon.
Some sites are just women complaining about PCOS.
Some sites are focused on infertility and don't mention any other
aspects of PCOS.
Others have so much information that you can't find what you are
looking for.
Some sites are too big with thousands posts a day.
Others are too small with just a small group of women that seem
not so friendly to outsiders.
This site was created by women who sick of all this. We wanted a site that had it all.
We wanted to create a community atmosphere to discuss medical information and questions
about the disease that we have in common, PCOS, but where it would be okay to have a
complaint, tell a joke, announce something special, and ask for prayers and advice.
Infertility is a very large part of PCOS, and it seems that many of the women that are searching
the web for info on PCOS are trying to get pregnant, so, obviously, we incorporated Infertility
into our discussions. We didn't stop there, though. On this site you will find information on
signs and symptoms, what to ask the doctor, what to expect at your doctors visit, medications,
alternative lifestyles, herbal supplements, weight issues, hair issues, trying to conceive, even
PCOS after menopause or hysterectomy and so much more.
With nearly 500 registered members and over 40, 0000 posts, we are by no means the smallest
site dedicated to PCOS on the worldwide web. Of course we aren't one of the larger ones,
where it's easy to get lost and overwhelmed.
PCOS Worldwide Support was started in the summer of 2005 by five friends, spread around
the globe, linked by one thing...PCOS. You will see them around the forums and chat rooms,
they practically live here on the site. We hope that you will find our formula for an online
support group to meet your needs. Remember the Admin team is always available to answer
questions and help new users.
See you around the site.
